Classical Guitar and Making Decisions About Tone Color – Video Practice Journal – April 18th, 2012

by Rob Reid on April 18, 2012

Hey Guys,

Another practice journal with Carcassi’s etude 1 where I talk about choosing your tonal colors and how to implement what you decide on.

The colors available to us as classical guitar players are immense and it’s definitely one of the beauties of the instrument that almost no other instrumentalists have – in fact I can’t really think of any other instruments that have the tonal varieties available to them like we do but… Choosing when and how to change color can greatly determine the overall musicality of your interpretation and it’s definitely an artform within itself (one that I am still very much learning!).

Check out the video, hopefully it may provide a little insight and please leave me a comment/share!

Cheers!

Rob
