Dynarette Classical Guitar Cushion Review – The Best Accessory I’ve Ever Bought For Classical Guitar

by Rob Reid on April 8, 2012

Hey Guys,

Just a quick (2-3 minute) video I made showing off the Dynarette Classical Guitar Cushion. I really can’t say enough good things about the Dynarette. It’s completely changed my posture and relaxation in the month or so that I’ve been using it and really has improved my overall enjoyment when playing the classical guitar – can’t say that about anything else I’ve purchased!

CLICK HERE To Purchase The Dynarette From The Same Place I Did (Great Shippers and the Best Price I could Find)

I’ve tried basically ALL of the supports over the years, and as I show you in the video they all suffer from something that makes them (for me) unusable.

Check it out and leave me a comment!

Cheers!

Rob

Hi Rob. Great, really really great topic. I have no idea why most guitar schools around the world still recommend the foot stool to newbies. Most Guitar Methods recommend the foot stool as a must have for guitar playing, but in my opinion, that is a killer approach for many people health and well being, not to mention that you can actually start avoiding guitar playing beause of the back pain associated to the constant use of a foot stool. I see that guitarists around the world are using the foot stool just for concerts, but I believe they all are using some other things like the Dynarette for practicing, otherwise they will end up looking like big “S” Don’t you think? I have been using the Dynarette for my practicing for a few years now, and I also recommend it to anybody who wants to practice for a few hours a day, and still conserve the energy and sense of joy that you need to play classical guitar.

Hey Robert!

I couldn’t agree more man, after my undergrad I was having some serious lower back issues that I know stemmed from playing on a footstool.

For the first 12 years or so of playing I’d always been either a right legged player or stood up (strap) and never noticed any problems from playing the guitar, but after really starting a serious classical regimen I could just never seem to get comfortable playing with a footstool, and that discomfort definitely took a toll on my practice/playing. I tried all the other supports too and while they did alleviate the problem of being uncomfortable, they never felt solid/stable enough if you know what I mean.

A lot of the guys where I’m starting my masters all use the Dynarette and after trying one out for 15 minutes I was sold! My buddy was down for the weekend and after trying it he felt the exact same way – I ended up giving him my spare lol.

Cheers man,

Rob

Eric:
Can’t you just turn it around? I just tried it with mine and it seemed fine.

The way it’s shaped actually makes that difficult. It actually is on a bit of a slope going up away from your body, so that your guitar leans back into you a bit, so if you turn it around it will be facing away. I just checked out their site and unfortunately they don’t offer a lefty version. Check out the website and contact them though, maybe with enough demand that can change:
